This was the first week for us on the Disaster Recovery Project in Conway, Arkansas. This area was hit by an F4 tornado on April 27, 2014. NOMADS started working to rebuild this area last fall.
We started the week working on a new house build in Mayflower. The house needed a second coat of paint, electrical, doors, trim, & floors.
On Monday we loaded our supplies at the warehouse & unloaded them at the work sight.
Before we could install flooring the doors needed to be put in. Gary & Dennis worked at the entryway closet door.
Chic, Gwen, & Nancy put a second coat of paint on the wall.
Jodi vacuumed & swept the floors to keep our work areas clean.
Virgie painted the folding doors for the closets.
Dennis hooked up & installed the outlets.
The new toy was a tile saw. Jodi, Stel & Dan couldn't wait to get to work.
Gary & Gwen put up trim around the doors and closets.
By Wednesday we had one bedroom with the closet doors ready for installation & flooring installed.
We took our breaks & lunch in the yard most of the days.
Sue worked on a little bit of everything. She put in vent covers, flooring, painting, & whatever else she was needed to do.
Gwen added another coat of paint to the closet doors before we installed them.
Stel & Dan planned the tile layout in one of the bathrooms.
Dennis helped Nancy & Chic with some of the more difficult flooring piece cuts.
On Thursday we celebrated Gary's birthday.
