Church Family Camp

On Wednesday June 12th we packed up the Maverick Truck Camper and traveled to Union City at Potawatomie Campground for the Annual Church Family Campout. It was only us and the Harold Nelsons for the first night.  By the end of Thursday evening there were 10 units camped together, With 3 more arriving on Friday.

There was firewood provided by Dean Vincent to keep the fire going.

Old church scrapbooks were brought out by Jennifer for people to look through. Meg Marvil and Dennis were going over pictures in  the book. meg was sure she should know some of the people in there.

And what church function would not have a Potluck. Dennis has to try all that will fit on his plate!

On Saturday we were all able to share in cake and Ice Cream to celebrate the 60th Wedding anniversary of Harold and Dorthea Nelson.

After Dennis led the vespers service on Friday evening Harold lead the songs. And then on Saturday after the Communion Service Harold led the traditional Sunday School Song for everyone to enjoy.

Even with it raining almost every night and all of the afternoon on Saturday we were still able to have a wonderful time together again this year.

Nancy and Dennis are at home again for the next 3 days and then they are off to the Michigan Postmasters Convention in Grayling, followed by a tour of the upper peninsula state parks, and Nancy's Class Reunion.
