Life Enrichment Center Week 1, Dec 1-7

The team for period 15 began to gather after Thanksgiving. on Sunday Morning we attended church at the Community UMC in Fruitland Park and then went to lunch at the Golden Coral Restaurant. 

Dennis & Nancy Williams, Pappy Doughty, and Gary and Jeanne Judson our Leaders for this project.

On Monday morning the camp hosted a breakfast for us before we started our projects. One of the major projects we were given was to fix the fascia on the Administration building. 
Dennis, Gary Melvin, Dave Hayes and project coordinator Ken Dodd, are looking at the fascia that needed repair. This will also include wrapping it with aluminum.

The rest of the team move to building 1 to paint 20+ rooms and put up ceiling fans.
Marilyn Hayes started by covering windows with plastic and taping off areas.


Joan Melvin was smoothing out some of the ceiling paint that was put up the first day.


Jim Brown and Pappy worked on installing ceiling fans and lights in the rooms after they are painted.


On Wednesday night several of the team went to Mexican dinner at the church. 
Jim & Harriet Brown and Gary & Jeanne Judson shared the evening at our table. 

On Thursday we went to a local Mexican restaurant to celebrate the birthday of 
Shirley VanDuzen (2nd on left), her husband Bob Strachan shared a table with Jim and Harriet Brown
with Dave and Marilyn Hayes across from them. 


On Saturday night several of us went to the parade in Leesburg, which was titled "Island of Misfit Toys".

After church on Sunday we went to the local restaurant "Ramshackle". The ceiling was covered with license plates from all over the United states.
