On Sunday December 8 some of the NOMADS Team went to the Traditional Church Service
in Leesburg and others of the team attended the Contemporary church service which
was held at the church at the same time.
That evening several of the team attended the Christmas concert at Fruitland Park UMC Church. The concert consisted of a bell choir, children's choir and adult choir singing numerous songs.
On Monday Morning Dave Barclay and Dennis and the other team members moved furniture
into the finished rooms in building 1.
Monday night December 9 the team gathered to celebrate Dennis' Birthday
with cake and ice cream.

Gary Melvin removed the screws holding the mirror to the wall in one of the rooms being
prepared for painting on Tuesday morning.

Gary Melvin was installing the aluminum fascia on the front of the administration building.
Dennis and Dave Hays were cutting and bending the aluminum for the fascia on
the front of the administration building.
Pappy Doughty installed the new switches for the ceiling fans and lights in the rooms.
Joan Melvin was painting the top of the walls in the rooms.
Marilyn Hays and Harriet Brown were the painting crew for the walls.
Dave Barclay installed the outlet covers in the rooms.
Jeanne Judson painted the baseboard in the rooms.
Shirley VanDuzer and Sandi Barclay were the ceiling spray paint experts.
They even came up with a way to haul their supplies from one building
to another by using bungy cords and Shirley's truck.
Dennis, Joan & Gary Melvin, Jeanne & Gary Judson, Pappy Doughty & Nancy attended the
Wednesday night dinner at the Fruitland Park UMC.
Pappy Doughty and Jim Brown installed the ceiling fans in the completed rooms.
On Friday night we held a potluck snack night followed by a program.
Joan and Gary Melvin were the program and shared pictures
of their safari to Africa.
