NOMADS Lake Junaluska North Carolina Week 3

This was our 3rd week at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.  We completed several of the projects on the work list this week.

We started the work week off with Jim & Dennis closing all the windows in Shackford Hall.  Some had not been closed in a long time.  All the windows needed washing & cleaning inside since it was raining we all helped with window washing.

Madeline & Ken started working on the columns inside the auditorium with Dave's guidence.

Ken added putty to the bracing of the top columns.

Joanne scraped & cleaned the stairwell.

Nancy worked on cleaning the balcony safety glass rails.

Dennis worked on repairing door closures.

It was such a rainy week that the geese were the only ones enjoying the weather.

Dave cleaned ceiling air vents in all the rooms.

Vickie vacuumed the stairwells.

Nancy did the final touch up in the rooms.

Jim & Vickie cleaned the chalk boards with WD-40.  It worked great!

On Tuesday night we were treated to dinner & gifts by the facility.

We enjoyed checking out the building including the big fireplace.

Wednesday found us cleaning & scraping the wrought iron in the Harrell Center building

We both painted the wrought iron.

Dennis did the final touch up on the stair well.

Vickie painted the bathroom walls in the Kern Center.

Jim cut in along the ceilings.

Joanne did some detail painting in the bathroom.

Ken & Dave built a lean to on the garden shed.

Madeline played the organ for our Communion service on Thursday.

Dennis & Nancy finished the three weeks by laying a new tile floor in the bathroom of the Wilson Children's Complex.
