Florida Children's Home Week 1 Jan 11 -16th

After our last project in December we have enjoyed some down time and then a visit from Jason's family where we went to Disney World, the Everglades and then to Kennedy Space Center. It was a high speed trip all packed into 10 days. After they left we had a few days to rest again before our first project of the new year.

We arrived at the Florida United Methodist Children's Home on Saturday January 9th for our 3 week project here.

Dennis, Wade, Lee & Connie decided where to start the pressure washing.

Betsy & Lo tackled cleaning & painting some of the several doors inside the group homes.

Judie painted inside a closet.

Dennis power washed the outside of the buildings.

Connie painted the outside of some of the doors.

Nancy had to try out the outdoor power scrubber on the sidewalk.

Wade did the finishing rinse on the sidewalks.

Lo with the help of Nancy tackled the cleaning & repainting of outside rockers.

Jim & Jack converted a storage room into an office.

On Saturday some of us went to the Old Spanish Sugar Mill Griddle House.  It is inside De Leon Springs State Park.

After watching the scuba divers in the spring & boats in the river we enjoyed all you can eat pancakes.  We each cooked our own over the griddle in the center of the table.
