On Sunday we went to Denny's for lunch after church & celebrated Sandra's birthday.
Sunday evening we went to see The Singing Christmas Tree at the Baptist church. There were over 30 singers in the tree.
The show was filled with songs, scripture, & lights in brilliant changing patterns.
Monday found Dave installing a light in the church yard. Susan, Sandra & Nancy helped him drop the pole into the 3 foot deep hole.
Susan, Sandra & Nancy worked on painting the church sign. They finished the first side & got part of the second side completed.
Chris & Erinie installed the double doors in Bethel Chapel after completing the washer & dryer at the NOMADS campground.
Andy & Connie continued to clean a church storage shed. They sorted all the items in it & filled a dumpster with junk.
Patty was back at the Sanctuary to paint a few more rows of bricks red above the windows to the overhang of the roof.
Judie was also painting the red bricks above the windows.
Connie & Andy worked at cleaning & organizing the old NOMADS trailer.
Dave was the electrician for another day. He fixed the yard lights around the church property.
Nancy helped paint the hallway door & walls in the men's house.
Sandra worked on painting the wall where the rollers would not reach.
Susan painted another door & walls in another hall of the mens' house.
Nancy & Dennis ran into an old friend "Santa!" He wanted to know what to bring for Christmas.
Dave has stayed very busy fixing more lights.
Patty painted the bathrooms in the men's house.
Sandra cut in the edges of the men's house hall.
Judie painted all the high parts next to the ceiling in the halls.
Susan & Chris worked on the Bethal Chapel doorways.
Chris added the trim around the double doors of the chapel.
Ernie dug a trench for the electric wiring for the NOMADS storage trailer.
Ernie & Dennis worked on burying the electric for the NOMADS supply trailer.
Andy helped organize the trailer.
Dave hooked the electrical switch to the NOMADS trailer.
Sandra helped clean the BBQ room where the washer & dryer is installed for NOMADS to use.
The Sanctuary provided lunch for us as a thank you on our final day.
On Thursday evening we had a closing service. Afterwards we enjoyed snacks and sharing with each other.
We went on a canoe trip to see the manatees on Saturday morning. There were several manatees in the area as well as lots of tour pontoon boats, dive groups & paddle boarders.
This swan boat was part of the scenery along the river.
