This was our second week at our project in Moss Point Mississippi. There are now only 3 of us on the team plus Jack & Dee are helping when they can. We accomplished a lot of work. We finished one bedroom ceiling & walls, finished the bathroom walls & ceiling, finished the laundry room walls & ceiling, have another bedroom ready for the final sanding, the broken drywall in the kitchen is replaced, doors are installed, moved a door, & started working on the second coat of drywall in the living room.
Saturday was the church's Easter Egg hunt for children. There were eggs all over the yard in front of our RV's for the older children.
They hid over 1000 eggs in the yard & day care playgrounds. We had a great time watching the children pick up the eggs.
Jack helped Dennis check the doorway before installing a door on one of the bedrooms.
Dennis was kept busy cutting & installing insulation in the ceiling of a bedroom
Dee edged the ceiling of the bathroom.
Dennis put drywall on the bedroom ceiling.
Dennis cut shelves for the bathroom storage area.
Suzanne taped & mudded the bedroom ceiling.
Nancy put the finishing coat of drywall in the closet.
Dennis finished installing the bedroom door.
Suzanne cleaned up the drywall tools in the hallway.
On Thursday we had over 3 inches of rain during a thunderstorm while we were working. The trucks were covered with muddy water up to the rims of the tires.
Dennis moved the door of a bedroom & installed drywall around the door in the hallway.
Thursday night we attended The Seder meal at the First UMC in Pascagoula.
Saturday we went to Davis Bayou Area of Gulf Island National Seashore. It was raining again so we spent most of our time in the visitor center.
In the visitor center were lots of animal carvings depicting animals native to the area.
We had a short break in the rain & thunderstorms & were able to walk a small section of the trail.
