Lakeshore Camp, Eva, Tennessee Period April 13 -April 18 2019 Week 3

This was or third week at Lakeshore Camp. The weather cooperated so we could finish several of the projects here.

During our three weeks here several of us went to Paris, TN. We had to see the Eiffel Tower.  It is 70 feet high & in the middle of a park.

We went to dinner at Downhome Family Restaurant .  The food was good.

We started the week off by painting the inside of the bathrooms. Elaine both cut in & rolled to get the stalls done.

Pat trimmed in the walls so Nancy could roll them.

Connie cut in well around several fixtures & corners.

Barb worked on cutting in the cement blocks in the shower stalls.

Ron, Jack, & Dean started to tear out an old ramp to one of the cabins & reconstruct a new ramp.

The bathrooms were completed.

Barb stained the door of the yurt.

Nancy stained the ramps.

Ron. Jack & Dean continued working on the new ramp installing support posts.

Pat, Connie, & Elaine painted the directors house.

Everyone got involved in spreading the mulch. Elaine with Barb's help, hammered in the nails to hold the landscape timbers in place. Dean dug a trench so that the landscape timers could lie flat.

Dennis with the help of camp staff, filled the wheelbarrow with mulch several times.

Dennis cut & put new landscape timbers in place.

Ron & Jack nailed in the support boards for the new ramp.

Dennis, Barb, Elaine & Connie replaced several of the old landscape timers that had worn out.

Dean, Jack, Ron & Dennis put up new fencing along the walkway.

Nancy pulled out lots of weeds by the office.

Connie & Pat stained the decks of the small cabins.

Elaine put a coat of paint on the bathroom doors while Pat scraped the door.

The finished fence.

Ron & Dean worked on the fascia of one of the buildings.

The camp took us to Smarder's for dinner.

Some of the camp staff joined us for dinner.

Nancy made little Easter baskets for everyone & filled them with jelly beans as part of devotions.

No project ending on Easter week is complete without a chocolate cross!

Our team members were Ron & Pat.

Dean & Connie were working their first project

Elaine

and Jack & Barb.
None of these team members had worked any projects with any of the others, we now have many new friends.

The craft room was next on our list to tackle. This was the before picture.

We had a lot of sorting to do.

and lots of items to throw away.

When we were done, everything left had a label & place to be.

Jack & Ron finished putting the roof on the bathroom.
