Sunday we attended church at Carol City where we are working,
The children of the church did the service.
It was very lively and everyone enjoyed it!

Sunday evening we had our first team meeting with the minister
and two members of the church attending.
We talked about the plans for work for our three weeks here the
list of work includes over 20 items with the
big item to paint the outside of the church.

Butch tore apart the soffits started to inspect the
wiring for the lights on the outside of the church.

Judy worked on scraping the areas of the
building that was loosened by power washing.

Scott applied wood putty to repair the fascia of the church.

Butch and Al worked on fixing up the roof for the front
of the church porch, they also cleaned the gutters.

By the end of Tuesday the front of the church was
well on the way to having the first coat of paint started
and then it rained for the rest of the week.

Al worked on the tearing off the old roof
over the restroom entrance and replacing it.

Judy cut in on the outside doors around the school part of the church building.

Kay cut in the corners of the walls outside and painted many walls.

Scott prepared the new doors for the entrance to the church.

Our first week team picture. Al and Judy, Scott and Kay,

Nancy painted in areas that the paint roller could not reach.

Butch worked on rebuilding the door to a storage area.

Cheri cut in and painted the groves in the ceiling of the overhang
on the school side of the church property.

Dennis painted  the primer over the area where the ceiling was repaired.

Al and Scott worked on getting the door to fit from the
sanctuary to the hall after building the new ramp.

On Thursday night we had a pot luck and movie night.
We watched the movie "Joshua."

Friday night the police closed down the street in front of the church
where we have our campers parked. Butch and Al visited
with the policewoman blocking the entrance to our parking area.
The State of the City address by the mayor was going on at the center across the street.

One of the policemen had a neat toy that he patrolled the area with.
It was a T2, like a Segway but with 3 wheels.
