This is our second week in Hawthorne, the week

We tried to work on projects that would keep us out of the weather some.

On Monday, March 17th, Nancy made St. Patrick's Day cookies
for the team and gave out mint M & M's.
Nancy painted trim boards for one of the houses.
Dave worked on floor framing in a bathroom where the floor needed much repair.

Butch worked on the plumbing in a bathroom, he had to fix
and move a lot of the plumbing for the new toilet.
Pete and Jack finished installing a new kitchen floor for a home owner.
Cleota and Sandy applied varnish to a new set of kitchen cabinets for one of the homes.
Patty helped power wash outside the thrift store.
Cheri power washed some of the sidewalk around the church property.
Joyce trimmed the bushes around the church thrift shop.
Bill and Dennis put together new shelves for the church tool shop.
Cleota learned to use the power framing nailer to nail plywood for a roof on a shed.
Dennis and Sandy worked on finishing the plywood on a roof for a home owner.
Pete and Jack installed new windows on a house
for one of the church members in the community.
Sandy and Cleota get some help from Roger on enclosing the sides of the shed.

Nancy rolled paint around windows of the thrift shop.
Dave, Dennis, Butch and Dick moved a refrigerator into the Matthews house being refurbished. This is a house across from the church they purchased to renovate.
On Wednesday night we had a campfire after work.
On Thursday morning Nancy helped in the thrift shop.
Cheri scraped and painted around the windows of the thrift shop.
Cleota and Sandy started painting a home in the community green.
Patty cleaned and painted the trim on the outside of a home.
Jack worked on rebuilding a porch of a home.
Everyone was invited out to Carlos' home on a lake for dinner on Friday night.
We had lasagna, salad, garlic bread, apple pie and ice cream.
Dick and his wife joined us for dinner.
