Phoenix UMOM January 25 to 30th

This was our first week at UMOM in Phoenix.  We were able to complete some of the work left from the previous teams.

Our first meeting was held in the Chapel on Sunday night.  Team members check out the literature on on what to do and see in the area.

We started working Monday morning with doing touch up paint on all the stairways.

A major project was to clean, fix & seal the gutters on the second floor roof. Jim started the work with the wire brush grinder.

Madeline helped paint a shade of yellow on the stairway from the first to the third floor.

Linda stained the picnic table that was re-built during December.  We also touched up the rest of the picnic tables with a fresh coat of redwood stain.

Nancy led the team in painting the poles and fire hydrant a bright yellow & the step edges were given a fresh coat of bright yellow paint for caution.

Vicki and Madeline started painting the caution barriers emergency red.

Dennis painted the sunshade between the chapel and building A.

Madeline helped clean & paint in two of the client laundry rooms.

Leveling, raising, & fixing the sunken bricks under a sunshade was another project the guys worked on.

Outside the second floor offices Jim helped apply a new coat of paint to the rails

At the end of Thursday we all were ready for a well deserved weekend after cleaning up all of the equipment we had used during the week. The question was "how many NOMADS does it take to roll up the hose?" We found out it was 3 working at it and a supervisor to tell them what to do!
