On Friday the 10th we went sight seeing.
We went to Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park in Johnson City, Texas.
In Johnson city we toured his boyhood home.
Johnson City was a small town with a lot of Johnson family history in it.
There were longhorn cattle roaming the pastures.
There was the historic barn.
The old oak trees had a personality of their own.
We also drove to LBJ State Park & Historic Site,
Buffalo were out in the pastures.
The school LBJ attended.
We drove the tour into the LBJ Ranch.
The family cemetery.
The Johnson Herefords are part of the historic working ranch.
There was a large herd of Deer were roaming wild everywhere.
Goats were also in the pastures.
The show barn was filled with educational exhibits.
We also toured the LBJ home known as the Texas White House where a lot of political business was taken care of.
The Air Force plane was in a hanger that was used by the president to get to his ranch, and we could see inside it. There is a 6000 foot runway that was used on the ranch.
