This was our second week in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We had a great team and completed 1 of the homes this week we were working on.
On Sunday afternoon Nancy and I went to a great walking path in the area and enjoyed a very nice walk.
Of course we had to walk the 5k path and made it to the finish.
On Monday John finished painting the fascia on the Gulfport house project. We are waiting for supplies to finish the kitchen on this house.
Of course it was an exhausting job! John needed a nap at lunch time.
John & Dennis found one more area to paint on the house.
Monday afternoon we moved to the project on Tipton street. Again the roof has been replaced and needs interior repairs. The ceiling in the living room of the house was falling down. Bob & Linda started to remove the old ceiling.
After Sue & Nancy removed & replaced the bathroom ceiling tiles with drywall, Sue calked the molding in the room.
Dennis & Sue measured the living room for drywall after tar paper was placed on it as a barrier.
Everyone helped install the drywall on the living room ceiling.
Gary preformed "mud magic" by taping and mudding the seams in the living room.
The ceiling in the bedroom was falling down. Bob & Dennis put 1 by 4's over the old ceiling tiles to support new dry wall.
On Thursday we were back at the Roby street project. Kitty began cleaning in the house in preparation for laying the backer board for a tile floor.
Sue & Kitty laid wonder board on the floor in the Roby house.
Back at the Tipton house the bedroom floor was caving in. Dennis cut out the old floor.
Gary decided he needed more hair & drywall would do the job on top of his head!
Bob checked the supports in the bedroom floor after cleaning up the bad wood.
Dennis & Bob installed new flooring in the bedroom of the Tipton house.
At the end of the day Thursday we presented the Bible from the Nomads team for the Tipton project.
The team went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner on Thursday night. John & Kitty & Bob & Linda were leaving the project this week
