This was our last week at ECHO. The weather was nice most of the week. On the last day we had rain so we had to work inside. We completed several projects over the 3 weeks we were working on at ECHO.
Ruthie helped Sally finish painting the office and all the furniture was moved back in.
Dave and Dennis helped make shims for bridge 2 for leveling the joists.
Janie and Rod finished painting the duplex inside.
Pat caulked the door trim in the duplex.
The support boards for the second bridge needed to be leveled before the decking could be put on.
The finished office with the furniture moved back in.
Our next job was the paint shed. It had been power-washed but needed to be caulked and painted.
Gary & Pat worked on the brick wall for the urban garden.
New bathroom doors were installed & painted in the public bathroom area.
We had to do lots of scraping before we could paint the paint shed.
New hand rails were installed on the bridges by Dave and Carol.
We took a tour of the Anderson Appropriate Technology Center.
We were shown how a water pump could be made out of easily found materials.
They showed us how the different stoves worked.
On the paint shed we had to paint the door.
On Wednesday we were invited to the Volunteer Luncheon at the shop.
NOMADS & several other volunteers were there.
The duplex was trimmed & finished.
On the paint shed we painted the trim around the window.
Because of the rain on Thursday part of the team worked on making trellises.
Mike & Chuck added shelves to the storage room in the loft of the shop.
The rest of the team painted the hallways in the retail area.
Chuck helped by painting one last coat over the door to the breakroom in the retail area.
We went to Log Cabin BBQ for dinner Thursday night as the team prepared to move on.




As expected..... NOMADS get the job done!!!!
