This was our 3rd week at Dooly Camp in Vienna, Georgia. The weather was cold & rainy but we were able to complete several of the jobs on our work list. Midge ended up at Urgent Care & had pneumonia so she was not able to work for the week.
Keren sanded, stained, & resealed the doors on the chapel.
Bub & Steve continued to add Hardie board to the Preacher's building.
Renee calked the edges of the boards to prepare them for painting.
Dennis removed the handle from the old door at the back of the bunkhouse.
There was a lot of electrical that needed to be done at the camp. Dennis worked at getting it up to code.
Nancy power washed the mats from several of the cabins & buildings.
Dennis applied tar & sealed the new boot on the preacher's building new electrical entrance.
Renee & Nancy did touch up work in the chapel including polishing the plaques that will be hung in the chapel.
The camp along with several board members gave us a "Thank you" dinner on Tuesday evening. The food was great!
Bub & Steve moved the extra building remaining supplies to the trailer.
Nancy & Renee took down the Christmas tree & decorations in the dining hall as there were no more events planned there.
Steve power washed the buildings before they could be painted outside.
Keren helped Renee & Nancy finish cleaning the bunk house.
Bub & Steve put new hinges on the doors at the chapel.
Steve replaced the strips of tread on the ramp by the dining hall.
Bub replaced several tiles in the dining hall that had been damaged by water leaks.
Bub & Steve cleaned the roof of the dining hall & cleaned the gutters. Then tried to reseal the roof where needed.
We all pitched in to finish the painting of the trim of the building that we had put Hardie board on.
Nancy painted the wall after the old vent for the old HVAC was removed & closed with drywall.
The buildings turned out great!
Bub & Midge, Steve & Renee & Dennis & Nancy went out to eat the last night after work.
On Friday the six of us were all heading to Florida to try to find some warmer weather. We were all going to different places for the holidays.
