Camp Sumatanga, Alabama Oct 21 - 25

This was our last week at Camp Sumatanga. In the 3 weeks we were there we were able to complete several projects that were on the list from the camp.
We took apart an indoor golf course that was donated to the camp and no longer being used.

There were several greens that had to be disassembled.  Nancy worked on pulling nails.

Cheri & Nancy worked on cleaning up the lawn around the entrance to the office.

Dennis installed the wire over the windows in the building that has black lights for use for an indoor dodge ball court.

Phyllis & Leonard cut the fencing for the windows and crimped the edges.

Dennis installed the trim back around the windows after the wire was in place.

Our team: Dennis & Nancy (team leaders), Butch & Cheri, & Leonard & Phyllis.

Phyllis sanded the edges of the carpet ball game after the extra sides were put on.

Leonard & Dennis finish placing the carpet ball game into the flatbed trailer to be moved to the lodge.

In the lodge Cheri applies wood putty before painting.

Butch installs the carpet on the first game.

We had a perfect night to take a picture of the cross & reflection in the lake.

Leonard & Phyllis build the second carpet ball game.

Dennis & Butch put carpet on the second carpet ball game.

The camp gave each couple a framed picture of the chapel.

Leonard & Phyllis cut & color coded metal poles for the nine square in the air game.

The carpet ball games turned out nicely.  The staff was excited about trying them out.
