Phoenix UMOM March 1 to 6th Final Week

This was our last week at UMOM in Phoenix.  We started some new projects.  Completed other projects we had started & continued working on some projects.

On Sunday some of our team went to Paradise Valley UMC.  The cross was draped with cloth & had a crown of thorns for the Easter Season.

On Monday, Pat worked at cutting papers for folders & cleaning & organizing the storage closet for the offices.

Steve & Dennis looked at the planing for the peg board in the paint shop.

Carol, Jerry & Don started sanding on the new project of six kneelers for the chapel.

The finished peg board in the paint room for storing brushes, roller handles, & other painting tools was mounted & organized.

Steve worked at reinforcing the shelves he built to hold the quart cans of paint.

On Tuesday, Mardel started scraping the car stops in the parking lot.

Nancy found a new friend during lunch.

Carol started staining the boards for the kneelers.

We went to Knock Knee Lobster for dinner on Tuesday.  The food was very good.

Steve & Kent swept in sand & cement to hold the pavers in place in a picnic area.

Dennis tried out the first kneeler to be sure the plans worked.

On Wednesday & Thursday the girls were kept busy painting doors.  We had hoped to be able to finish cutting in the chopstick paint but we couldn't get anymore paint in for the week.

The finished car stops in the parking lot.

Nancy helped put polyurethane on finished kneelers.

Pat put folders with UMOM information together.

The finished paint room.  We repaired the walls, painted them mecca, added shelves, added pegboard, sorted paints & disposed of old paint, & organized the paint room.

The finished six kneelers for the chapel.  We had also painted the chapel.

We are now off for the next 3 weeks and will be tourists!
